Joseph N. Lapointe, 86, of Westport, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Lucille (LaRoche) Lapointe.
Mr. Lapointe was born in Fall River, son of the late Onesime and Rosanna (Charette) Lapointe and had resided in Westport for most of his life. He served his country in the National Guard. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a manager for First National Supermarket. Mr. Lapointe was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport for over 60 years and he also sang in the choir. He enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles and cutting wood. Most of all he loved going on trips with his family.
Survivors along with his wife include his 3 sons: Raymond Lapointe of Westport, Ronald Lapointe and his wife Hilda F. Velez of St. Cloud, FL and Michael Lapointe and his wife Heather of Astor, FL; his daughter: Diane Pimentel and her husband John of Westport; a sister: Lucille LaBlanc of Fall River; along with 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Lionel and Leon Lapointe.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:30 A.M.
Calling hours Monday from 4-7- P.M.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
