Obituary

SPRINGFIELD – Anna (DeCrenscenzo) Pezzote, 91, of Springfield was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 7, 2021 after a courageous battle with Covid-19. She passed into Eternal Life at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by the care and comfort of her wonderful caregivers. She was born in New Haven, CT, on June 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Regina (Covone) DeCrenscenzo. She was raised in New Haven, CT and moved to Springfield in the early 60’s where she lived the remainder of her life. She was an amazing woman who lived her life filled with faith and was truly a devoted mother who loved her children deeply. She was a communicant of the Cathedral of Saint Michael the Archangel in Springfield. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Patricia Pezzote who was Called Home on June 12, 2019. She leaves her five devoted sons, John L. Pezzote, Jr. of Springfield, Robert Pezzote and his wife, Linda, and Ronald Pezzote and his wife, Linda, all of North Carolina, Paul S. Pezzote and his former wife and caregiver, Cynthia Pezzote, both of Chicopee, and Michael Pezzote and his husband, Jimmy Giacomuzzi, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her six loving grandchildren; her eight cherished great grandchildren; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be announced at a later date at the Cathedral of Saint Michael the Archangel in Springfield. There are no visiting hours.
