Mary Louise (DeLacy) Tracy, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at her home. She was 80 years of age.
Mary Lou was born in Boston on December 15, 1940, a daughter of the late Albert O. DeLacy and Mary (Doyle) DeLacy. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Mary Lou worked as a payroll processor for the Boston Naval Shipyard. She was a member of the Charlestown Irish Heritage Society, Charlestown to Charlestown Committee, and was a volunteer at the Life Focus Center.
Mary Lou is the beloved wife of the late Richard C. Tracy. She is the devoted mother of Kathryn Walsh and her late husband John, Marylou Tracy, and the late Patrick M. Tracy and Christopher L. Tracy. She is the loving grandmother of Katie and her husband Mike Mason, Johnny Walsh, Christa Day, Skyla Tracy, Michelle Elwell, Megan Elwell, and the late Shayne Patrick Day, and to her great-grandchildren Jayden, Madelynne, Clancy, Rayven, and Ian. She is the beloved sister of Albert DeLacy, and the late Patricia Pronier, Joan Dempsey, John DeLacy, Arthur DeLacy, and Rosalie DeLacy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary Lou's visiting hours on Thursday morning, May 13, 2021 from 9 to 11 A.M. followed by her Funeral Service at 11 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.(FACIAL COVERINGS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED INSIDE OF THE FUNERAL HOME).
