East Bridgewater - Kenneth F. Rettman, 62, of East Bridgewater died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Colony House Nursing Home in Abington after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Kory (Wells) Rettman.
Born in Boston, raised and educated in West Roxbury, he was the son of Martha Rettman and the late Lawrence Rettman.
Mr. Rettman had been a resident of East Bridgewater for the past 18 years, coming from Dedham.
He worked as a research technician at MIT in Boston for 38 years, retiring in Oct. 2005.
Mr. Rettman was a communicant of St. John Church.
He was a 3rd degree of Knights of Columbus in West Roxbury and enjoyed his church and family.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Kenneth C. and Christopher M. Rettman, both of East Bridgewater and Dannielle E. Rettman of Brockton; two brothers, Edward Rettman of Franklin and William Rettman of Norfolk; three sisters, Mary Gielo of Sandwich, Rita Rettman of Dedham and Christine Sharland of Kingston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, Thursday at 9:15 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-8 pm.
