Obituary

WEBSTER- Roman Rabski, 85, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in his home in the presence of his family.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Stanislawa (Ucher) Rabski; a son, Michal Rabski and his wife Anna of Dudley; 6 daughters, Iwona Rabska of Thompson, CT, Boguslawa Lezanska and her husband Piotr of Webster, Elzbieta Gil and her husband Stanislaw of Quinebaug, CT, Zofia Vitmajerova and her husband Vasiek of Daytona Beach, FL, Anna Sekula and her husband Lukasz of Putnam, CT and Agnieszka Rabska of Dudley; 15 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, Harmonia; 2 sisters, Jozefa Lelonek and Wladyslawa Otlik, both of Poland; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Monika Rabska in 2020 and by a brother Czeslaw Rabski.

He was born on January 14, 1936 in Rabka Poland, a son of Jozef and Zofia (Handzel) Rabski and lived there until 1991 when he moved to Webster.

Mr. Rabski worked hard all of his life, first in mining and then as a mason in construction projects in Poland. In this area, he installed siding in homes and in construction sites before retiring about 20 years ago.

He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and also attended Saint Andrew Bobola Church in Dudley. In Poland, he had a small farm and raised animals. He enjoyed creating wood carvings for family and friends.

His funeral will be held Monday, May 10, at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street with a time of visitation from 9:30 to 10:00 AM (please meet at the church). Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
