Age 73 of Maplewood passed away peacefully May 2, 2021 following a courageous 5-month battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 2015 and her parents, John and Doris Holliday. Greatly missed by daughter and son-in-law, Kim “K” Anderson Skipon and Mike Skipon; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Jenny Anderson; grandchildren, Tony Skipon, Meghan and Audrey Anderson, Michael Olson, Adam Olson, Kayla Ryman, and Olivia Olson. Also survived by, Bob (Theresa) Olson, Jeff (Laurie) Olson, and John (Meg) Olson; beloved sisters, Betty Moore, Barb Denton, and Donna Holliday; niece, Lynn (Kirk) Gietz; nephew, Eric (Kathi Jo) Moore; closest friends, Kris and Bill Krannich, Cindy Gerritz, and Russ and Diane Anderson; other relatives and many friends. Special thanks to Intrepid Hospice for their compassionate care: Britney, Comfort, Angela, and Melissa. Ethel was an active member of the Moose Lodge 963 in Maplewood. Often thought of as an “Amazing Hostess” Ethel loved to plan and host events at home and the Moose Lodge. She was also an avid gardener and loved road trips with her soulmate, Bill.
A gathering of her family and friends will be held 5-8 PM, Friday, May 14th at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 – 7th Ave. E., North St. Paul.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
