Obituary

Floyd Peter Rinne, 74, of Medway, died Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Medway Country Manor after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Corleen (Smith) Rinne who died in 2005.

Born in Bay Shore, New York on November 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Floyd and Charlotte (Stevens) Rinne.

Floyd was a resident of Marlboro for over 40 years. He grew up in West Hampton, NY and graduated from Union College earning a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Before his retirement, Floyd worked at Digital for many years.

Floyd was an active volunteer for Cub Scout Pack 41 and had volunteered as a den leader, assistant cubmaster and cubmaster. He was also an active member of the First Church in Marlborough, Congregational where he served on several committees.

Floyd is survived by his daughter Willow Howlett, her husband Rob and their son Thor of Medway and two sons Chris Rinne of Auburn and John Rinne of Medway.

He is also survived by his sister Marilyn Hendrickson of Florida and was the brother of the late Sue Koechler.

Relatives and friends will be invited to attend his memorial service at the First Church in Marlborough, Congregational, 37 High Street which will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in Floyd’s memory to American Cancer Society, PO Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
