Neil F. “Brud” Tyler, Jr. of Londonderry, NH died March 26, 2006 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry, NH. He was born in Melrose, MA on June 27, 1928, a son of the late Neil F. and Esther (Bather) Tyler, Sr. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a supervisor of special projects by the former New England Telephone Company for more than 30 years. Mr. Tyler lived in Holbrook, MA for many years, before moving to Londonderry in 1970 to be near his brother and family. Brud was a volunteer in the media center of Londonderry High School for many years.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David T. Tyler and Marilyn Tyler of Hudson, NH, five nieces, a nephew, 11 grandnieces and grandnephews, his long-time friend, Ruth Smith of Albany, NH and his cat, Buddy.
Calling hours were on Tuesday, March 28th from 6 to 8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral service was held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial with military honors was held at 1 PM Wednesday at the N.H. Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
