Matthew W. “Matty” Perry, 45, of Lowell, died at Lowell General Hospital, on April 17, 2021, after as a result of Muscular Dystrophy, which he had since he was a teenager.
Born May 22, 1975, in Lawrence, he was a son of the late William H. Perry, and the late Lianne (Slager) Johnston. He grew up in Lawrence and attended the Lawrence Schools. More recently he resided in Downtown Lowell.
He was a gifted musician and artist, especially when it came to drawing. He worked as a physical trainer for several years.
He is survived by his 3 siblings, Daniel Perry of Lowell, Jared Alvarado of Syracuse, NY, and Jennifer Perry and her husband, Steve Teixeira of Malden; his stepfather, Tom Johnston of Lowell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his Nana Patricia Slager.
