SOMERSET – Alice G. Oliver, 98, of Somerset and a long time Swansea resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center. Alice was the beloved wife of the late John V. Oliver and the daughter of the late Jean B. Marchessault and the late Roseanna (Rochon) Marchessault.
Prior to retiring, Alice worked as a Cafeteria Worker at B.M.C. Durfee High School and was a communicant of St. Louis de France Church in Swansea, MA.
Alice leaves behind her son, Robert, of Hudson, NH, his wife, Sheila, and Alice Gauvin, a beloved friend of many years, along with numerous nieces and nephews and the many friends she got to know at Clifton. Alice was the mother of the late Paul J. Oliver and the sister of the late Armand, Charles, George, Roland, and John, Lorraine, Albina, Salina, & Florence.
Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will take place in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea, MA on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. A private burial will take place in Hudson, NH at a later date.
