Obituary

Ocie Lamar Graham, 82, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, April 23, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Crossview Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Jeff Parmer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary on Tuesday.

Mr. Graham was born April 8, 1939, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Thomas and Jewel Graham. He was the youngest but one among nine children. He was a 1958 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and earned an Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia College in Milledgeville. He retired from Seaboard Coast Line Railroad after more than 25 years of service. Mr. Graham was a great Christian warrior who loved God and his family. He always loved building and repairing things. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was an active member of Crossview Baptist Church where he was a deacon, taught Sunday school, and was a part of the Golden Believers.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nell Graham of Fitzgerald; two sons: Danny & Rhonda Graham of Supply, North Carolina and David Graham of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Joy Graham & Joey Mykytka of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Kristy & James Reynolds, Kasey & Daniel Mays, Tiffany Lowder, and Chase Richardson; great-grandchildren: Chance Reynolds, Savannah Reynolds, Addalyn Rose Lowder, Dawson Mays, Ava Kate Mays, and Jaxson Mays; a brother, Eddie Graham of Fitzgerald; and a sister, Myrtle Smith of Broxton. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Roy, Roscoe, Raleigh and Herman; and two sisters: Bertie and Clara.
