Obituary

James Warren Franklin II, of Marshfield, on March 24 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Putnam Franklin, a son James Franklin III, of Weymouth, a daughter Leslie Lowe of Sturgis, South Dakota, and three stepchildren: Jeffrey Putnam of Danvers, Ginger Putnam of Brunswick, Maine, and Daniel Putnam of Pembroke, a sister Marsha Blum of Columbus, Ohio, a brother Mark Franklin of Columbus, Ohio, five grandchildren, a brother- and sister-in-law, Wayne and Barbara Lake of Easley, South Carolina, and eight nieces and nephews.

Born in Michigan, he graduated from Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio and attended The Ohio State University. Formerly employed by Chrysler Corporation in Sandusky, Ohio, and Weymouth Art Leather, he owned a sales and marketing business, J.W. Franklin & Associates, and recently served as National Chairman of the Trim Division of the Automotive Aftermarket Industries Association.

Mr. Franklin was past Master of the Daniel Webster Masonic Lodge, former Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Shrine and Royal Arch. Donations in his memory may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, or to Daniel Webster Lodge, Marshfield, Massachusetts.

Visiting hours will be at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, with a Masonic service at 8:00 p.m. Funeral at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, First Congregational Church, 1981 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA.
