Obituary

Linda Ann (Eleuterio) Guillet, 75, of Swansea passed away on Saturday April 17, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Gerard A. Guillet.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Rourkene F. (Novia) Eleuterio, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Swansea in 1985.

Linda loved to read all genres of books, her favorite being her Bible. Later in life she earned a degree in writing children’s books from the Institute of Children’s Literature. Linda wrote many fun-loving children’s short stories and manuscripts such as, The Loveliest Night of the Year. Linda also expressed herself through her creativity such as free hand sketches, crocheting and knitting. She loved to sing in choir at church and for enjoyment at home. Above all of these things, her favorite thing to do was spend time with her loving family, gathering around the dinner table, laughing and playing games.
She was also a member of Faith Christian Center and an avid supporter of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Survivors include three children, Gerald Normandin and his wife Marilyn of Swansea, Michael Normandin and his wife Kathy of Coventry, RI, and Lori Reed and her husband Scott of Somerset; her uncle, Lawrence Novia of New Bedford; six grandchildren Gerald Normandin, Jr. and his wife Kelly, Joshua Normandin, Joel Normandin and his wife Jessica, Michael Normandin, Alex Normandin, and Hannah Lynn Reed and her fiancé Bryan Mavel; and her rescue dog, Hoss.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 559 Mount Pleasant St., New Bedford on Thursday April 22nd, 2021 at 11:30.
