Mary Catherine (Berk) Powers, passed on April 13th at the age of 74. A lifelong resident of South Boston, she was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Edmund T Powers Jr. As well as her 3 children, Edmund T Powers III and his wife Dawnmarie, Shawn Powers and Christopher Powers. Daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Berk. Sister to Kenneth Berk and his wife Betsy, the late Robert Berk and his wife Jean, the late Thomas Berk and his wife Anita, Dennis Berk and his wife Elaine and the late Anne Tennihan and her husband Robert. Loving Grandmother to Thomas, Joshua and Emma.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering on Saturday, April 24th from 12-2 p.m. at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester St. in South Boston.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association.
