Obituary

Barber Beatrice ( Hasesian ) of Arlington, age 94, passed peacefully on April 18 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of the late Harry Barber. Daughter of the late Levon and Zabel (Solakian) Hasesian. Step daughter of the late Ardash Garabedian. Special niece of the late Stephen and Lucy Aghazarian. Devoted mother of Dr Arthur Barber and his wife Constance, Lee Barber and his wife Jeanne. Cherished Grandmother of Scott, Lauren, Allison and her husband Dr Blake Chapman and Leslie. Great grandmother of Waverly Bea and Collins Chapman. Survived by her sister Marilyn Dodd and sisters in law Helen Barberian and Marion Barber as well as many nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was a buyer and manager at Filenes, and founder, owner and operator of Topsy Turvy and Temptations shops in Winchester. She assumed the role of host of the Golden Opportunities television show after the passing of her husband.
The family would like to acknowledge the special care given by Mary Kelly, the Gallagher family and Comfort Keepers.
Funeral and Cemetery services are private. A memorial gathering will be held in the future. Due to the ongoing Covid - 19 pandemic, current public health and safety measures will be followed. Social distancing and facemasks will be required for everyone’s safety.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the St James Armenian Apostolic Church at 465 Mt Auburn St, Watertown, MA 02472.
