Farish "Frank" Selig, 74, of West Wareham died July 22, 2002 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of the late Gertrude Z. (Tetrault) Selig,and son of the late Farish and Melinda (Jollymore) Selig.
Mr. Selig was born in Gloucester and had lived in New Bedford for most of his life before moving to West Wareham 25 years ago.
He was formerly employed as a chef on board the ferries of the Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket Steamship Authority for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Selig was a member and Past Grand Officer of the Bethesda Lodge #30 I.O.O.F.. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Joanne Baugh of Sammamish, WA and Brenda Freeman of Napa, CA; 3 brothers, Stanford Selig of Esconindoa, CA, Donald Selig of Mexico and Roger Ouelette of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Gladys Simms of New Bedford, Beatrice Sevigny of Wareham and Shirley Thompson of Castro Valley, CA; 5 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Liza Burt and Gilbert Selig.
His Funeral Services will be private.
