Lynne S. Parks, 63

Lynne S. (Whalen) Parks, age 63, of Mansfield, formerly of East Dedham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Parks, to whom she was wed for forty-four years at the time of his death on January 13, 2020.

Born in Norwood, MA on October 26, 1957, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph F. and Grace C. (O’Neil) Whalen.

Lynne grew up in East Dedham and was a graduate of Dedham High School. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past seventeen years and was a former longtime resident of East Dedham.

Mrs. Parks was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family. When younger she had worked at the Best Western Hotel and was a member of the former St John’s United Methodist Church in the Oakdale section of Dedham. The love and joy she received from her grandchildren were second to none and her hobbies included ceramics.

She is survived by her devoted children: Scott D. Parks of Mansfield, Joseph W. Parks of Attleboro and Colleen M. Parks-Day of Mansfield, who was pre-deceased by her husband Matthew Day. She was the cherished grandmother of Damien, Haley, Anissa, Theresa, Paul, Matthew, Robert, Isabella, Katheryn and Lincoln. She was the dear sister of Lisa Foley of Fall River.

Services, along with burial at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield will be held privately at a later date and visiting hours are omitted.
