Obituary

Nancy L. [Salvador] Stefani died Tuesday, April 13th at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. She was 83.

Born and raised in Provincetown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Priscilla [Steele] Salvador. She in turn raised her own family in Provincetown, family being the most important thing to her.

She was a tomboy at heart and loved playing in her father’s garage and keeping up with the boys in the neighborhood. For a “pint of peanuts,” she was fierce. She could also play the part of a beautiful lady and was named Miss Provincetown in 1954. She adored her hometown and everyone in it, but also enjoyed many adventures abroad and across the US. She had many tales to tell.

Nancy loved the beach. She loved walking through town or simply going for a drive to Herring Cove. And she loved her double scoop strawberry ice cream at Lewis Brothers. Nancy took pride in all she did and had many artistic talents.

She'll be remembered for the sparkle in her eye and that cheeky smile.

She was loved by too many to list.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 22nd at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 11 Prince St, Provincetown. Burial will follow in St Peters Cemetery. Covid-19 guidelines for gatherings, face coverings and social distancing, will be followed at the church and cemetery.

The Funeral Mass will be ‘live streamed’ on stpeters-ptown.org.
