WAREHAM… Stephen A. Bertoncini, 64, known for his kind and thoughtful ways and love of music passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 after a 2-month battle with covid at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
He was the son of Phyllis (Sagan) Bertoncini of Fall River and the late Angelo Bertoncini.
Born in Fall River, he was a lifelong resident of that city, and brother to Cynthia Guimond (husband Rene) and the late Michael Bertoncini.
He was the owner of Bay State Floor Refinishing for over 40 years and enjoyed the pleasure his work brought to his customers.
Stephen loved life and good music. He loved singing, dancing and especially singing Karaoke which was his favorite weekend activity. He was a lover of all animals and especially his dog Reggie who he spoiled with daily walks and treats.
He was always willing to help all his family, friends and even strangers. He always had a kind word for everyone and had a nickname for many.
He loved cooking lasagna and sharing it with his family and friends, especially his cousin Judy, who he adored.
Besides his mother, sister and brother-in-law, he leaves behind his niece Amanda, nephew Mike, godmother Natalie Szufnarowski, his aunt and uncle, Walter and Charlotte Sagan, his godsons: Ryan French, Douglas, Kevin and Keith Barlow, Shela Rochette, several cousins, and countless friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main St. Fall River, MA 02724 followed by inurnment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
