WORCESTER___James P. Flangan, 90, of Worcester, died Saturday March 25 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves three sisters, Patricia Goulet and Margaret Duclos both of Worcester and Kathleen Lavin in California; a sister-in-law, Sigrid W. widow of John T. Flanagan of West Boylston and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, a son of Patrick and Delia (McGourty) Flanagan and lived here all his life.
Mr. Flanagan was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Highway Dept. for 30 years and retired in 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He attended St. Stephen’s School and was a life member of St. Stephen’s Church.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday March 28 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be private in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Church Renovation Fund, 16 Hamilton St. Worcester, MA 01604.
