Obituary

Mario Gapusan Peralta, age 57, a wonderful husband and father, passed from his life to eternal life on April 7, 2021 at Oxnard California.
He was born on June 29, 1963 at Sanchez Mira, Cagayan Valley, Philippines but resided a year after in C-8 Claveria, Cagayan Valley and eventually migrated to Salinas, California in the year 2000. He is married to Catherine Agraan Balanay on April 10, 2003 but they have been together for 38 years. He is survived by his loving wife Catherine, and wonderful children (Karen Mae, Jonalyn, Aileen, Maybel and John Mark), and sons-in-law and grandkids and sisters; Karen Mae - Ron Yosuke with children Kyrsten Aiko and Kye Morika; Jonalyn - Edmar with children Mark Dayle, Athena Amber, and Matthew Jared; Aileen and daughter, Leanne Ashley; Maybel - Rigoberto with their son Zeus Rielle; John Mark - Camille Joyce with daughter Caithleene Marz; his wonderful older sister Maria Victoria and husband Robert Tucci; and his younger sister Joselyn and husband Eric Johnson.

He started working at age 17 as a truck driver in different companies namely Taggat Industries, Mabanag Trading, Javier General Merchandise and the families of Mayor Layus and Mayor Bolante for approximately 20 years in the Philippines. He continued his Road Career in California at Destiny Transportation, Watsonville Branch, CA which gave him A TOTAL OF 38 long and wonderful years of road experience. He tags himself as an "International Driver" for he has travelled hundreds of thousand miles and has seen different States and Counties in America and various provinces in the Philippines.

He enjoyed singing and his favorite song, "My Way" defines his 38 years road career. He loved to cook and his specialty is "Papaitan." He was a very organized person. He kept things tidy and clean.

He had a knack in fixing cars and in playing the piano and guitar. The house was filled with his golden voice whenever there was a party. He was loved by many because of his unconditional love for his wife, children and family, friends, relatives and colleagues. He was also known for generosity and willingness to help others in as much as he can without him expecting anything in return.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours from 1:00 to 5:00pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, CA 93001. A Chapel Service will be held at 4:00pm in the Funeral Home.

He will be brought back home in the Philippines for his final resting place.
