Obituary

HOLDEN___Domenic J. "Dom" Caccialino, 87, of Holden, passed away on Saturday April 10, 2021. His beloved wife of 64 years Dolores M. "Dolly" (Martello) Caccialino passed away on January 23, 2021. He was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary (Masiello) Caccialino.

He leaves his devoted daughter, LuAnn P. Jacques of Shrewsbury; four precious grandchildren, Zachary Jacques and his wife Marisa of Manchester, NH., Christopher Jacques and friend, Kelsey Fournier, Natalie Caccialino and friend, Sean Scricco and Sofia Caccialino all of Shrewsbury. He was extremely proud of all their accomplishments. He also leaves his sister, Jeanmarie LaMarche and her husband, Richard of Worcester, and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his beloved son, Michael J. Caccialino. Domenic graduated from Worcester Boy's Trade High School in 1953.

Mr. Caccialino was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and served with Headquarters Co., 1301. Mr. Caccialino was employed by the Worcester School system for many years and retired several years ago Domenic was a member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson and was a member of the Greendale Retired Men's Club and their golf league. He was a member and past Grand Knight of Pope John XXIII Council, Knights of Columbus, a former District Deputy and then became a charter member of St. Mary's Council Knights of Columbus, Jefferson. After retiring he volunteered his time with several organizations including, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Worcester Senior Center. He also worked as a funeral assistant for area funeral homes.

The funeral will be held on Saturday April 17, 2021 with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. A calling hour will be in St. Mary's Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass on Saturday. Current guidelines for capacity, wearing facemasks and social distancing will be followed. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson, Ma., 01522.
