Obituary

Ann E. McCabe, 82 passed peacefully in her home in Plymouth, MA on April 12, 2021 surrounded in love by her children and grandchildren, brothers, and devoted husband of 64 years.

Ann was born in Boston Massachusetts, daughter of Aladino and Lucy Sorgi. Ann graduated from Girls High (1956) and married the love of her life, Bob, on June 8, 1958.

Mom/Nonna, loved her family unconditionally and was the shining light for all who knew her.

A devout Catholic, Ann shared her faith as a St. Bridget Parish CCD teacher, Pre Cana teacher, and Eucharistic Minister. Her joy was to be surrounded by family and friends, sharing wonderful meals, heartwarming stories, and creating wonderful memories. Her talents and passion for life was shared through her sewing, decorating, cooking, flower arranging, crocheting, watching Hallmark, and so much more.

She is survived by her beloved husband Robert R. McCabe Sr., her brothers Paul Sorgi (wife Ann) of Abington, Aladino Sorgi Jr. (wife Rita) of San Diego, her children Catherine McCabe (partner Kate) of Abington, Robert R. McCabe Jr. (partner Cheryl) of Ashland, NH, Sandra L. Kristjanson (husband Paul) of Windemere, FL, Scott G. McCabe (wife Holly) of Bourne, MA and Carolyn S. Blaine of Bridgewater, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler Blaine-Buckley, Alex McCabe-Blaine, Sarah McCabe-Blaine, Ella McCabe, Ryan McCabe, Ashley McCabe, Courtney McCabe, Joshua McCabe, Luke McCabe, Danielle Kristjanson, Kendall Kristjanson, and Matthew Kristjanson and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, April 16th at 9:00 AM at Saint Bridget’s Church, 455 Plymouth St., Abington, MA. Burial to follow at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, 125 Central St., Rockland, MA. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 15th from 4 to 8 PM at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, MA (www.blanchardfc.com) .
