Edward J. Boyle Jr. entered into eternal life on April 11, 2021 in Santa Barbara, CA. Eddie was born on May 17, 1941 in Charlestown to the late Edward J. Boyle Sr. and Ann (Devlin) Boyle. He would have been 80 years old in May.
He grew up in Charlestown, was educated at St. Catherine of Siena Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Immediately after high school, he enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country for 3 years. He went on to get his degree at Quincy Junior College and was employed by Raytheon for many years.
In 1976, Eddie and his family moved west to Santa Barbara, CA. He remained an avid Boston sports fan and was never seen without a Red Sox, Patriots, or Bruins shirt or hat. He was a true Townie who returned home every year.
He was the beloved husband of over 50 years to Evelyn Boyle. He was the loving father of Edward and his wife Kathy, Linda Plante and her husband Steven, Sean and his wife Heidi, and the late David and Gregory. He was the devoted grandfather to eight and great-grandfather to two.
Eddie was beloved brother to Ann Nolan and her husband Nippy, Cathy Shea and her husband Paul, and Carol “Stinky” Devlin and her husband Denis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eddie's Memorial Mass to celebrate his life on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 A.M.
