Obituary

Carl S. Langley, 89, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 11, 2021 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Madeline J. (Bourne) Langley.

Born in Quincy, son of the late Murray S. and Nina J. (Cameron) Langley, he lived in Quincy most of his life before retiring to Fairhaven.

Carl loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a master plumber who owned and operated M.S. Langley before rebranding as Langley Plumbing. Carl served proudly in the Navy as a FPG2 aboard the USS Lake Champlain. He was loved by everyone who met him, and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife; his daughter Cynthia Cooper and her husband Edward of Marshfield, MA; his grandchildren, Jessica Cooper and Nicholas Call and his wife Christine; and his great-grandchildren Caroline Call and Hana Call.

He is predeceased by his son, Steven Carl Langley.

His funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, April 15 at 9:30AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett. His service and burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
