Obituary

Theodore Philip (Ted) Lindgren, 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Ventura, California.
Ted was born in Houghton County, Michigan to parents John Arthur and Signe Elina Lindgren.
After spending his childhood on the family farm near Lake Superior in Upper Michigan and high school in San Diego, California, he spent four years in Arizona as a Titan II Missile Technician for the United States Air Force. Ted then attended San Diego State University, where he earned Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering. During his career, Ted was admired and respected by military and civilian employers alike, as well as by colleagues, for his amazing creativity and superior problem-solving skills as a Systems Engineer.
Among his many hobbies were model railroading, building and flying model airplanes, and communicating with his friends in the ham radio field. Ted was a patent holder, a private pilot, and a terrific Father.
Ted is survived by his daughters Janna and Amy; granddaughters Caroline, Dezarea, Kallista, and Kenley; brothers Werner John and Gary; nephews Kevin and Jason; and cherished nieces Anneli and Sherri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers John Edward, James (Bob), and Rodney; and his sisters Florence and Jane.
We wish to thank the staff at The Lexington Assisted Living in Ventura for their skilled and compassionate care during the several years before Ted’s death. Ted lived life to the fullest, and the lives of many people have been enriched by knowing him.
Arrangements are under the direction of JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held during the summer in his childhood hometown in Upper Michigan.
