Obituary

CHICOPEE – Arthur J. Dennoncourt, 91, of Bluebird Acres in Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, April 11, 2021. He passed into Eternal Life at Renaissance Manor on Cabot in Holyoke surrounded by all of the memories that he loved and cherished. He was born at home in Chicopee on April 2, 1930, a beloved son of the late Valida Dennoncourt. He was raised and educated in Chicopee where he lived for most of his life. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Coast Guard and attained the rank of Fireman. He was employed as a fabric cutter at the former William Carter Company in Springfield. He was a communicant of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He leaves the love of his life, Monique S. Gonthier of Chicopee; his daughters, Loreen A. O’Neil and her husband, Kevin, of Rocky Hill, CT, and Donna M. Kesler and her husband, Kim, of Springfield; his stepchildren, Nancy White and her husband, Bill, of Florida, Gary Gonthier and his wife, Denise, of Virginia, and Denis Gonthier and his wife, Laurie, of New York; and his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. His funeral services and burial will be private. There are no visiting hours.
