Elizabeth A. Simmons, 76, of Fall River, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Kimwell Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the daughter of the late Myron F. Simmons, Sr. and the late Mary (Oliveira) Simmons.
Miss Simmons was born in Fall River and had resided in Little Compton for most of her life. She had attended the Underwood School in Newport which she really enjoyed. She was adored by her family especially her niece Cheryl Reynolds and the many children she helped care for in her daycare. Over the last 5 years, she had become a social butterfly at Kimwell Nursing Home where she was adored by the staff, loved playing BINGO and collecting stuffed animals. She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton.
Survivors include her brother: Myron F. Simmons, Jr. of Little Compton; her sister: Ellen J. Rodrigues of Fall River; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Phyllis Mello, Doris Sawyer, Ethel Rodrigues and Jeanette Gagne.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton at 11:00 A.M.
Interment to follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton.
