Robert Anthony Cusolito
Tewksbury - Robert Anthony Cusolito 85, of Tewksbury, passed away on Tuesday, April 6 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was the loving husband of Mary Rita (Roy) Cusolito.
He was born in Winchester, MA, on March 13, 1936 and was the son of the late Felix Cusolito and the late Rose (Camuso) Cusolito. He was raised and educated in Medford and graduated from Medford High School with the Class of 1954. He never forgot his strong Medford roots and where he came from.
After High School, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the USS Salem until his honorable discharge in 1959.
He was a long time Tewksbury resident and was a communicant of St. Williams Church. He was employed with the US Post Office and was proud to serve as the Vice President of the Local 301 Mail Handlers Union, where he built a friendship with all who knew him.
Robert loved traveling, especially cruising in his later years. He also spent many winters in Naples, Florida with his wife, sister, cousins and many friends. But his true love was spending time with family, especially his 4 grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Robert L. Cusolito and his wife, Sandra, of Newmarket, NH, Paul A. Cusolito of Tewksbury, MA and Linda M. Whalen and her husband, Christopher, of Billerica, MA, his grandchildren; Daniel Cusolito of Somerville, Jason Cusolito of Boston and Michael and Ryan Whalen both of Billerica. He is also survived by his sister, Jean MacDonald of Manchester, NH.
His funeral services will be held privately from the Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876 (978) 851-2061.
