FALL RIVER – Yvonne B. Braga, age 81, and a lifelong resident of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Born in Fall River, Yvonne was the wife of the late Arthur Braga Sr. and the daughter of the late Romeo Cote Sr. and Mary (Dexter) Cote. Yvonne was also the longtime companion of the late Daniel Dias.
Prior to retiring, Yvonne worked for Shelburne Shirt Co. as a machine operator and previously worked at Dover Stamping Co., Valley Steakhouse, and El-Be File Co. In her free time, Yvonne enjoyed making puzzles, gardening, and cooking. Most of all, she loved to spend quality time with her family and friends.
Yvonne was predeceased by her children: Brenda Bourgeious, Carol Braga, and Arthur Braga Jr.; her siblings: Oscar Costa, Romeo & Walter Cote. Survivors include her two daughters: Robin Martins of Fall River, and Wendy Denmead of Auburndale, FL; her brother: Eddie Gajka of Fall River; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
Yvonne’s Funeral Service will take place in the Manual Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Tuesday, April 13th here at 9:00 A.M. with a service to follow at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. To send the family expressions of sympathy, please to www.rogersfuneral.com.
