Penny A. (Anderson) Gately, 58, of Franklin, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Born in Milford on August 5, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Vernal “Sonny” and Betty (Santos) Anderson.
Penny was a resident of Franklin for most of her life and graduated from Franklin High School in 1981.
She had worked as a courier at FedEx for many years.
Penny was a member of the Franklin Elks Club. She loved to knit and crochet and was an avid reader.
She is survived by two sons Richard Gately, Jr and Christopher Gately, both of Franklin and seven grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Michelle Gately.
She is also survived by her siblings, Donald Nelson of Wrentham, Deborah Mackey of North Attleboro, Mark and Paul Anderson, both of Franklin, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Bailey.
