Obituary

Diane M. (Houston) Perry, 76, of Lowell, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Tufts Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Daniel J. Perry who passed away in 2010 after many years together.

A daughter of the late Henry Houston and the late Bessie (Abel) Houston, she was born February 22, 1945, in Lowell and was educated in the local schools.

She made her lifelong home in Lowell and loves spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved sewing and proudly loved making masks for family and friends. A great cook that will be missed by many, she also enjoyed shopping.

Her survivors include her children, Leonard Spinney Jr. of Lowell, Joanne (Spinney) Goodwin of Lowell, and Melissa (Spinney) Quinones of Lowell; her five grandchildren, Sheridan Spinney, Lawrence Scott Jr., Leonard Spinney III, Miranda Spinney, and Kiara West all of Lowell; and her three great grandchildren, Pyper Thomas, Braxton Kazanjian, and Savanah Thomas.

She is also survived by her sisters, Evelyn Dixon and Carol Gilfeather; her special friend, Wayne Medeiros of Pepperell; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She was predeceased by her daughter in law, the late Cynthia (LeDuc) Spinney; and her sons in law, the late Mark Goodwin, and the late Luis D. Quinones. She was also predeceased by the rest of her siblings.

While practicing social distancing guidelines and wearing a mask, all are welcome to attend her calling hours on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816.
