Catherine Winifred (Walsh) Little, 94, of Franklin died April 1 in the Rose Monahan Home Hospice in Worcester following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late LeRoy D. Little who died in 2005.
Born in Brooklyn , New York, August 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Charles and Delia (Mahon) Walsh, Mrs. Little was raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Rosedale, Queens, New York for many years prior to moving to Franklin fifteen years ago.
Catherine was a talented seamstress who made bridesmaids dresses for her daughters and many other special clothes and costumes for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Leroy Little and his wife Josephine of Chestnut Ridge NY, Karen Howard and her husband Thomas of Melbourne, Florida, Wayne little and his husband Sergio DelPino of Wilton Manners, Florida, Virginia Testaverde of Mineola New York, Katherine Siegel and her husband Neil of Melville, New York, Brian little and his wife Joyce of Charleston, south Carolina, Mary Ellen Sheridan and her husband Brian of Lafayette, Colorado, Lorraine Koudelka and her husband Frank of Franklin and Veronica Werth and her husband James of Matthews, North Carolina.
She was the mother of the late Daniel Little and is also survived by her daughter-in-law Mary Jane Little of Indian Trail, North Carolina.
Catherine is also survived by her grandchildren, Lee, Jason, Ann Marie, Danny, Kelly, Kristen, Scott, Kim, Matthew, James, Brooke, Michael, Brian, Sean, Eileen, Patrick, Joseph, Matthew, Christopher, Cyle, Melanie and Kimberly, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Her calling hours will be held on Monday, April 5 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin from 1:30 to 4:30 with service immediately following.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
