Carl Cahoon, age 74, of Boston passed away March 28, 2021. Carl was raised and educated in Weymouth. After high school he worked for his family business, Sky Cab Company, based in Weymouth which began his over 30 year career as a cab driver. Carl enjoyed helping all around him most especially his large family whom he loved so much. Carl was an avid darts and softball player and loved reading.
Carl is survived by his former wife Barbara Murphy of E. Bridgewater, his loving children Lisa Robinson and her husband Grover of FL, Debbie Franklin and her husband Scott of CT, Katherine Murphy of AZ, Daniel Murphy of Taunton, Meghan Murphy and her fiancé James Gabriel of Rockland, Terrence Murphy of Rockland, Theresa Murphy-Delgado and her husband Jose of E. Bridgewater, Patrick Murphy-Cahoon of E. Bridgewater, Michael Murphy-Cahoon of E. Bridgewater, and Mary Murphy Cahoon of AZ, his 16 grandchildren, and his 4 great-grandchildren. Carl is also the brother of Donald, Erika, Lance, Brian, and the late William.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Carl on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. There will be a Funeral Mass in honor of Carl’s life on Tuesday morning at 10am in the St. Francis Xavier Church located at 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth, MA. Burial will immediately follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
