Obituary

Eunice W. McCormick, 93, of Walnut Lane, Greenville, passed away on Monday March 29th at the Greenville Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Daniel T. McCormick.

Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Frederick and Eunice (Webster) Clark. She had lived in Greenville for 57 years previously living in Esmond.

Eunice had been a secretary in the Smithfield Jr. High School and the Gallagher Middle School for 24 years before retiring in 1989.

She was a long-time, active member of Saint Philip Church for nearly 60 years. After retiring from her work, she volunteered for many jobs at the church such as money counting and pew cleaning and was a daily communicant before her illness. She also reached out and provided in-home care and companionship to several home-bound elderly women in her spare time. Her greatest joy came for seeing her family, particularly her grandchildren. She loved animals and over the years had several beloved dogs. She also enjoyed the ocean and working in the yard.

She leaves her children, Daniel C. McCormick and his wife, Christina Caldwell of Mapleville, David C. McCormick and his wife, Jane Ryan of Medway, MA, Dorothy C. Tedeschi and her husband, James of Greenville, Donald C. McCormick and his wife, Dianne of Chepachet, and Duane C. McCormick and his wife, Michele of Colchester, CT. She was the grandmother of seven: Kevin, Timothy, Daniel, Kyle, Carol, Sean, and Marie. Eunice was the sister of the late Frederick Clark and Richard Clark.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday April 6th at 8:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Due to Covid 19 restrictions limited seating, social distancing guidelines and face masks must be worn during Mass. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Monday 4-6pm. Funeral Home occupancy limits will be adhered to during visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army or RISPCA
