WORCESTER___Julius Wainaina Mwathi, 70, of Wangige, Kiambu, Kenya died Wednesday March 22 in a daughters home in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Rahab Nyambura Mwathi, a son and five daughters, James, Martha, Ruth, Naomi, Judy and Irene Wainaina, all of Worcester and five grandchildren. He was born in Kenya, a son of Simon and Nellie (Njeri) Mwathi.
Before he retired, Mr. Mwathi was a land surveyor for the Kenyan government.
Calling hours are Saturday March 25 from 4 to 7 pm. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. A service will be held on Sunday March 26 at 4:00 pm in Hossana Gospel Center, 184 West Boylston St. West Boylston, MA. Burial will be in Wangige, Kenya.
