Obituary


Tom Keith "Tom Terrific" Swan, 80, of Anderson, passed away March 26, 2021 at home. He was born on November 15, 1940 in Dugger, Indiana, the son of Clara (Hurst) and John Swan.

He was employed by General Motors for 41 years, retiring in 2003. He was a Navy veteran and attended Chesterfield Community Church of God. Tom had also served as the song leader at Lone Oak Wesleyan Church and had made 18 mission trips to Mexico and lead 15 of the trips. He was also a pilot, flying small planes. Tom also had worked as a real estate agent and broker.

He is survived by his wife, June A. (Quear) Swan, whom he married May 4, 2007; daughter, Tonya (John) Sekendy; son, Terry Swan; Stepson, Todd (Jana) Harrington; Stepdaughters, Kristina (Shane) Bowen and Tracy Pahls; Grandchildren; Andrew (Brittany) Swan; Katie (Jeremiah) Brannum, Thomas Swan, Maxwell Sekendy; Step grandchildren; Jon Harrington, Jennifer (Jordan) Bontrager, Sarah Bowen, Lily Renfro, Laura Bowen, Abbi Pahls; Great Grandchildren; Amelia and Huxley Brannum, Step Great Grandchildren; Jake Bontrager and Jon Bontrager; Siblings; John (Connie) Swan, Madge Booker, Judy Booker Mobley, Joy (Ronnie) Bixler, Fred (Linda) Swan, Gary (Brenda) Swan; Larry (Ruth) Swan.

Preceded in death by first wife, Carol Swan in 2005; his parents, Step Grandson, Stewart Harrington, and Step son-in-law, Michael Pahls.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Chesterfield Community Church of God, officiated by Dr. Jerry Grubbs. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church from Noon until 2PM on Wednesday at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southern Care Hospice.
