Obituary

On Tuesday March 9th, William Anthony Wilson III passed at age 54. Born February 22, 1967 and known affectionately as “Bill Bill”, William attended Lexington High School and graduated in 1985. Upon graduation William joined and served his country proudly for nearly a decade as a member of the United States Air Force, receiving a Bachelors and Masters Degree while enlisted, as well as an Air Force Achievement, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Air Force Short Training Ribbon, and Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon. After his service, William spent much of his life living and working in Tokyo, Japan where he raised his two daughters. William had a love for laughter, music, and exploring new places. He was a loving father and a supportive brother.

William is survived by his daughters Chiaki and Kasumi Wilson and their mother Wakako Wilson in Japan. His mother Alma Prescott and her husband Charles Prescott. His father William Wilson Junior. His siblings: Lisa Gail of Columbia, MD. Deanine and Kenter Lacet, Danielle and Gary Champagne, Kiki Carter, Chakator Prescott, and Nahjah Prescott all of Boston, MA. JahB and Claudia Prescott of Virginia Beach, VA. Ivi Prescott of San Diego, CA. Jumaane Prescott of Kingston, JA. Anthony Wilson, Edward Wilson, Elijah Wilson, Josiah Wilson all of Amherst, MA. Special family friend and father figure John Cannaday. Best friends Alston and Martone Evans. He is also survived by a large host of nieces; nephews; grand nieces; and grand nephews.

William’s funeral service will take place at Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home. 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop, MA 02152 on Tuesday, March 30 at 11:00AM. Pastor Davies Hernandez will preside over the services. Please follow current social distance and health department guidelines.
