Obituary

Myram Hutto Stephens, 83, of Jesup passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at home with loved ones by her side. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Stephens at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Marshton Tucker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 29, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed during the visitation and the graveside funeral service.

Jackson Drawdy Jr., Preston Snow, Brenton Snow, Tommy Perritt, Shannon Jarrell and Benjamin Lorenzana will serve as pallbearers,

Born October 4, 1937 in Irwin County, Mrs. Stephens was the daughter of the late Willie Hutto and Effie Merritt Hutto. She was also preceded in death by one son, Lee Stephens; and one daughter, Marjorie Highsmith. She was of the Holiness faith and loved to crochet and cook. She was a waitress for many years and a homemaker in later years.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband, Gerald Stephens, of Jesup; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marie and Len Dick of Chula, Hattie M. Highsmith of Ambrose and Marsha H. and Phil Laster of Jesup; one son, Marvin Highsmith of Ambrose; one step-son and his wife, Terry and Stephanie Stephens of Jesup; one sister, Lizzie Hutto Barientine of Wray; a sister-in-law, Annie Hutto of Wray; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
