Obituary

FALL RIVER… Philip B. Rocha, 87 of Fall River passed away March 24, 2021 at Catholic Memorial Home.
He was the loving husband of Katherine L. (Bohun) Rocha to whom he had been married for 61 years.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Philip and Mary Elsie (Amaral) Rocha. He spent most of his childhood living in Little Compton before moving with his family to Fall River.
Mr. Rocha was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption where he was acted in the St. Vincent de Paul Society and acted as an usher and collector. He worked in maintenance at Brown University for 20 years before retiring in 1998. Philip enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife, survivors include his sister: Vivian Talbot of Somerset; his brother: Paul Rocha; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Irene Thorne.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 9 AM from Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, Second St. Fall River. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 from 2 – 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Philip’s name can be made to Catholic Memorial Home (“Activities Department” in the memo) 2446 Highland Ave. Fall River, MA 02720.
