Charles L. Spencer, Jr. of Quincy, MA, formerly of Medford, MA died peacefully surrounded by his daughters on March 22, 2021. He was 79 years old.
Charlie was the son of the late Charles L. Spencer, Sr. and Mildred (Mann) Spencer as well as brother to the late Marjorie Orr.
Charlie was a graduate of Medford High School class of 1959, where he was a standout athlete in football and hockey. He won the Thom McAn Trophy in 1958 for outstanding player in high school football.
He was a graduate of Colgate University class of 1963 where he played for their hockey team.
Charlie worked in the lumber business most of his life until retirement. He was one of the former owners of Boston Cedar & Millwork in Mansfield, MA.
Golf was his passion, he was a member of Foxborough Country Club in Massachusetts as well the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club in Clearwater, Florida.
He is survived by his three daughters, Kelly Welsh and her husband John of Palm Harbor, FL, Karen Paskins and her husband Timothy of Ballina, NSW Australia, and Kristy Bussell and her husband Christopher of Haverhill, MA. Also, his grandchildren, Shawn, Erin, Kylie, Stephen, Charlie and Anais. Uncle to Matthew Orr and Rebecca Ostoyich. Former husband of Anne Spencer of FL.
