Obituary

SOUTH HADLEY – Patricia A. “Patsy” (Nash) Krawiec, 82, of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Monday, March 22, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on July 11, 1938, a beloved daughter of the late Willard A. and Delia C. (Sabourin) Nash. She was raised and educated in Chicopee and had lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to South Hadley in 2006. She was employed as a Nurse Aide at the former Willimansett Nursing Home in Chicopee for many years. Following her retirement, she continued to help many local nursing home residents by volunteering her time there and also served as an ombudsman. She was a member of the former Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in Springfield and also was a member of The Order of the Daughters of the King. During her leisure time, she enjoyed being a doting grandmother and taking care of her grandchildren. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and soul mate, Peter Krawiec. They were married on May 2, 1962 in Brattleboro, VT and were blessed with over 58 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three loving children, Walter L. Krawiec of Ludlow, Barbara-Jean Deloria and her husband, John Deloria II, of South Hadley and Kathleen A. Krawiec and her partner, Patrick McGrath, of Chicopee; her five cherished grandchildren, Tricia, Kari and Krystina Krawiec and Jeffrey and Matthew Deloria; her three cherished great-grandchildren, Tyler, Grace and Kaiya; her dear sister in law, Faith Nash of Chicopee; her dear brother-in-law, John Krawiec, Jr. and his partner, Jane, of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear brother, Robert Nash; and her dear sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Lincoln and her husband, Marvin “Link” Lincoln. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8 a.m.) The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Committal Service will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
