Diane M. Paglia, 79, of Warwick Avenue, Warwick passed away on Monday March 22nd surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Paglia. They had been married for 44 years.
Born in Providence a daughter of the late Americo and Margaret (Martinelli) Gemma. She had lived in Warwick for 57years previously living in California.
Diane was a world-renowned cake decorator. She had been the proprietor of the former Diane’s Confections for 45 years before retiring in 2008.
She leaves her children, David Paglia of Warwick, Debbie Johnson of Mansfield, MA, Lea Connors of Cranston and Louis Paglia of Warwick. She was the grandmother of Alaina and Autumn Johnson, Andrea Dumican, Joseph Paglia, Mason and Ava Connors. She was the great-grandmother of Kyin and Quintin Johnson, Elais Payne and Maddison Dumican. She was the sister of Ralph and Ray Gemma. She was the sister of the late Ronald Gemma.
Her funeral was private. Burial was in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
