Age 94 of Maplewood
Died March 17, 2021. Survived by his son, Carl E. (Cindy) Krieger, Sr.; grandsons, Carl E. (Becca) Krieger, Jr., Peter Krieger (Callie) and great granddaughter, Skadi Krieger; other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by wife, Evelyn, in 2002 and his parents, Alice and Carl L. Krieger, Sr. Carl proudly served in WWII and when he returned, he worked for more than 50 years as a butcher/meat merchandiser. Known as “Grandpa Carl”, he enjoyed following his grandson’s activities, traveling, playing cribbage, good conversation, and having a drink with friends. A Gathering of Family and Friends with be held 4-7 PM, Sunday, August 1st at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 – 7th Ave. E, North St. Paul. Interment with Military Honors in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
