Obituary

Eleanor M. McNab, 93, of Bayou Drive, Greenville, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice in Providence.

Born in Providence, she had lived in Greenville for the past seven years and had previously lived in North Providence.

Eleanor had worked for the State of Rhode Island for 16 years as a court recorder before retiring. She began her career in Grand Jury Superior Court in Providence, and later worked in Providence District Court.

Eleanor was known for her beautiful knitting, and many of her creations have become family heirlooms. On Fridays she looked forward to playing cards and dominoes with long-time friends. Eleanor also enjoyed going on road trips with her friend Ronnie and going to the beach on weekends in the summer. She loved being with her family, especially her granddaughters, nieces, and great grandson. She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet McNab of Greenville, Heather Joyce and her husband William of North Kingstown; her grandchildren: Shayla Joyce of Providence and Kelsey Joyce of Pawtucket, a great grandson, Camdyn Pagan and her sister Alice Murphy of Georgia. She was the sister of the late Robert, Walter and Thomas Fee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1805 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
