Frances Winifred Williams, a 33 year resident of Charlestown, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the Don Orione Nursing Home in East Boston following a lenghy illness. She was 83 years old.
Frances was born in Somerville on September 6, 1922, grew up in Charlestown and attended Boston Public Schools. Frances worked at Boston City Hospital for over 30 years as a Lab Technician and was a member of the Boston City Hospital Workers Union, Local No. 285.
Frances is the loving mother, aunt, and guardian of Karen Cavanaugh and her husband Robert of North Carolina, John Lambert of Dorchester, and James Lambert and his wife Judi of North Andover. She is the loving grandmother of Kerry Guzzetta and her husband Matthew of New Hampshire, S/Sgt. Kristen E. Mahoney, U.S.A.F. of Texas, Robert and Ryan Cavanaugh of North Carolina, Seamus, Ronan and Moira Lambert of North Andover and also her great grandson Matthew Guzzetta, III. Frances is thse beloved sister of the late Margaret Lambert, Dorothy Blute, Mary and Edward Williams.
Frances Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 9 a.m. from the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren Street, Charlestown, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting Hours for Frances will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006, from 3 - 7 p.m. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
