Obituary

Mildred M. (Hicks) Rolli “Millie”, age 89, a lifelong resident of Winchester, passed away on March 20, 2021. She was the beloved wife for 54 years of Anthony Rolli until his death in 2004.

The daughter of the late Walter and Leona (Cyr) Hicks, Millie was employed as a housekeeper at the Winchester Nursing Center for many years. In her spare time she loved spending time with her large family and extended family, and especially loved the babies. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, taking trips to the casinos and trying her luck with scratch tickets.

Millie is lovingly survived by her nine children: Douglas Rolli (Brenda) of FL, formerly of Woburn, Deborah Quave of Stoneham, Susan Durant (George) of Billerica, Stephen Rolli (Ann) of Winchester, Cynthia Carey (Robert) of Woburn, Carol Hennelly (Thomas) of Pepperell, MA, Jennifer Rolli of Winchester, Jeffrey Rolli (Michele) of Dracut, and Anthony Rolli (Jan) of Peabody. She was the dear sister of Arthur Hicks, Claire Hicks, Catherine Mallinson and the late George, William, Edward, Robert and Joseph Hicks and the late Irene Robinson, and is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to briefly visit with the family at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Wednesday, March 24th from 3-7PM and are reminded to enter through the front door, wear masks and practice social distancing, and again on Thursday, March 25th at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
