Webster, MA 1952 - 2021
Margaret Irene (Tuttle) Duquette passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Lanessa Extended Care Nursing Home in Webster.
Born April 23, 1952, Marg is survived by her mother: Jean Tuttle, Ledgemont Farm, Warren MA and one brother William J. Tuttle, West Brookfield MA. Her father James Tuttle died in 2015.
Known lifelong as “Marg” to her childhood family and friends ; Marg was known as “Peggy” in her professional and married life.
Peggy was married 35 years to Robert B. Duquette of Webster. She is also survived by one son, Rory Duquette and his wife Susan of Webster, MA; one daughter, Marinda Dexheimer and her husband Mike of Lakeville, MA ; two granddaughters, Raegan and Sydney Duquette of Webster and two grandsons Ryan and Evan Dexheimer of Lakeville.
In her youth Marg was a member of 4H and a lifelong member of the Palmer Grange. A lifelong devotion to crafts and needlework was rewarded with many ribbons at local fairs. Marg was a 1970 graduate of Quaboag Regional High School.
Peggy was a graduate of New England School of Accounting and obtained a bachelors degree from Nichols College. She was employed by Melville Shoe and Assumption College before beginning a long career in Banking as a Human Resource manager. Peggy was a 19 year employee of Bay State Savings Bank and spent 10 years as an Officer and Trustee of Westborough Bank before retiring in 2007 from Avidia Bank.
Peggy devoted time to many projects and charities in addition to family time. She was a board member for the American Institute of Banking’s local chapter, a board member to Dudley Webster Charlton Pop Warner football, a cheerleader assistant coach for DWC Pop Warner, and a long time board member to Family Services of Central MA and the Child Care Connection.
When not spending time with family and friends in NH and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, Peggy and Bob cruised to many ports of call and travelled to the southwest and beloved Arizona.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, March, 25 from 4-6PM at the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St. in Webster, MA. The family requests that you remember Marg (Peggy) as she was in life and not as she became due to illness.
