Obituary

MIAMI LAKES, FL/ SPENCER: Barbara A. "Babs" (Slocum) Crossley, passed away peacefully at her best friend and cousin, Dorothy McGuaren’s, Florida residence on March 10th at the age of 89, just short of her 90th birthday which would have been on March 16th.



She leaves her daughter, Patricia A. Lupien, of Spencer, a grandson, Todd Standring and his wife Danielle, of Spencer, and 2 great-granddaughters, Giania and Zoe. She also leaves 2 nieces, her goddaughter, Elaine Blood, and Nancy Mandella, as well as several cousins.



Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Roland H. Crossley, whom she was married to for 59 years. Also, she was predeceased by her son Kenneth P. Crossley and a sister Elizabeth J. Latour. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Frank and Wanda (Siedlewicz) Slocum.



Barbara was a homemaker, an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, and loved meatballs and sauce. She loved to have her one-a-night Natural Light Beer with her cousin, Dorothy "Dusty".



The funeral with Covid 19 precautions, masks and social distancing will be held on Wednesday, March 24 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 8:30-9:30 AM in the funeral home.
