Bruce R. Hansen, 73, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 14, 2021, with his wife and three daughters at his side at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Brenda J.(Willey) Hansen, three daughters; Michelle J. Mauro and her husband Anthony of Southbridge, Lisa M. Chiasson and
her husband David of Oxford, and Jackie M. Quinn and her husband Brian of Danielson, CT. , grandchildren; Stacey, Brandon, Aaron, Jake, Abigail and Ryleigh, two brothers; Otto Hansen and his wife Geraldine of New Hampshire, and Leroy Hansen and his wife Mary of California, his mother-in-law, Jeanne (Lapan)
Willey, brother-in-law, Christopher Willey and sister-in-law, Wendy Gomes and her husband Alan Gomes, Sr., many nieces and nephews, as well as many
grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Clyde R. Willey.
Bruce was born April 11, 1947 in Marlborough, MA. son of the late Otto and Phyllis (Jones) Hansen.
He retired as a software engineer for EMC.
Bruce enjoyed fishing, camping, kayaking, hiking, riding his bike, sight- seeing, and collecting wood for his woodpile. A saying he always said, if its’ free, its’ for me.
He loved his family and friends and enjoyed talking to neighbors and friends, his fishing and camping buddies, all will miss Bruce very much.
There are no calling hours. Kindly omit flowers.
A Graveside Service will be announced at a later date in North Cemetery in Oxford.
